Make Way for Miami Beach FC

Lights,Sun, Sand,Sea and Soccer. Make Room for Miami Beach FC – The latest Soccer club to be established in the City of Miami. And already there is a big name attached to the team. He’s won four FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup titles as the head coach of the Brazil National Beach Soccer Team. His name is Alexandre Soares and he’s returned to Miami on a mission.

Soares is now the Director of Soccer Development for Miami Beach FC which is already on the move with the preparation of a Beach Soccer Team that will play in tournaments both in North/Central America, Caribbean,South America and other parts of the globe. And there is a movement to establish a Women’s Beach Soccer Team as well as a Futsal and Fut7 team.  Soares is contracted to the Miscellaneous Group which are the owners of the Miami Beach FC franchise.

Soares ‘ most recent assignment was serving as head coach of the Bahamas Beach Soccer team at the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas.

Soares first controlled the Brazil National Team from 2005 to 2011. His major titles included four FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups, 4 Copa America titles, and 5 titles at the Mundialito de Futebol de Praia, all to go along with winning 5 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup CONMEBOL Qualifiers. Soares also has some astounding records that coincide with the silverware  he brought home. As head coach, he accumulated 145 wins in 150 games, and at one point 75 wins in row. In the FIFA World Cup he helped steer the Brazilian side to 29 wins in 30 games.

He is also a FIFA beach soccer instructor, having also played professional Futsal in Spain and has also coached the Trinidad and Tobago Beach Soccer Team. To sum it up, he is a legend in Beach Soccer.

Flashback: Soares after one of his World Cup title winning matches with Brazil.

Soares told us on Sunday what the immediate plans are for Miami Beach FC.

“It means a lot to me in particular to be involved with Miami Beach FC because it’s a project that I’ve been wanting for a long time and now I have the possibility to make it come true,” Soares said.

“The idea is to make Miami Beach FC a solid base of work for many of the top beach soccer, futsal and fut7 players in the United States and to have our Club participate in many national and international competitions.”

And the link to play in the international cups is there through Miscellaneous’ affiliation to Beach Soccer Worldwide and a relationship that already exists through the involvement of Miscellaneous of which Sham Mohammed is the CEO.

Soares intends to give Miami Beach FC the best possibilities of achieving its mission and realising the ambitions of Mohammed and his competent team.

“The first goal is to maintain weekly training and detect new players to then go on to participate in various competitions in the United States and around the world in Beach soccer, futsal and fut7 in both genders,” Soares added.

And what about the long term plans?

“Long-term is to make Miami Beach FC a strong team in our three versions of the game, both male and female and help develop these sports in the United States by training high-level players in the tactical, technical, physical and in the understanding of intelligent play and team play,” Soares said.

Having just come out of the international stage where he experienced the thrills and high level play of a FIFA Beach Soccer event, Soares is already adjusting to building from scratch again in lovely Miami.

“The transition is very positive because with  each World Cup I participate in I get more knowledge and experience and this is very good for the work I want to accomplish at Miami Beach FC.

“The fact that I have always done the job and achieved results, based on what happened in  six World Cups that I participated in is very positive for me because it gives me a lot of credibility especially with players from different countries around the world and we will continue to work and build on this for the benefit of Miami Beach FC,” Soares stated.
