We are pleased to relay that Beach Soccer Worldwide has announced Trinidad and Tobago’s Sham Mohammed as the new President of Beach Soccer Worldwide for the Caribbean region.
The position was announced by Beach Soccer Worldwide President Luis Felipe Tavares in Sao Paulo, Brazil a week ago following a meeting in the city with Mohammed.
“Our company hereby appoints Mr Sham Mohammed of Trinidad and Tobago to be the President of the Beach Soccer Worldwide for the Caribbean countries as of today,” the correspondence from Tavares stated.
Tavares continued, “His role and functions as President is to explore and manage all marketing possibilities to promote Beach Soccer Worldwide and all of the activities involving the production of events, seminars, television programs and companies for the territory of the Caribbean.
Mohammed, who is the CEO of Miscellaneous Marketing, has also held the position of Vice President of the Beach Soccer Worldwide Foundation for the past three years and will continue to hold that post.
He has also been a supporter of Trinidad and Tobago Beach Soccer teams since 2013 and has promoted several Beach Soccer and Soccer 7 events in Florida and the Caribbean. Mohammed is also the club owner of local outfit Miscellaneous Laventille United.
Commenting on the appointment, Mohammed said, “I am indeed honoured honoured to be appointed to the role of President of the Caribbean Region of BSWW. I am greatly looking forward to working with the staff, the wider football community and our various stakeholders moving forward, driving the development of beach soccer at every level within the region, overseeing the ongoing the overall process and, of course, facing the challenges that will come our way.”
Speaking further, Tavares welcomed Mohammed, saying, “We at BSWW are excited with the appointment of our long time colleague Sham Mohammed and we are looking forward to him developing the sport of beach soccer in the region with immediate effect.”
